The beta for Sony’s streaming game service is set to launch in the United States and Canada on July 31st. Next month, owners of the Playstation 4 will have access to the online library of classic Playstation titles. Moreover, the beta is an open beta, so anyone who wants to try the service will be able to do so for free during this period.
Playstation 3 and Vita users will have to wait slightly longer (not date has been announced just yet). And no pricing or other information has been revealed. However, Playstation Now will give gamers full access to a huge list of games spanning from the Playstation 1 era all the way through to the Playstation 4.
If you don’t have a gaming system, the Playstation Now service will also be available on certain Sony TVs later this year. However, you will need to pick up a Dual Shock 3 controller to take advantage of it.
